SANYOND was founded in 2002. At the beginning of start, we only had one factory known as Tengchong Shangyuan Stone Factory. In 2005, the second factory was founded in Hehua town. In 2007, the third factory was founded in Heshun town. These three factories have been always mainly focusing on exploiting Yunnan local special stones, such as vacuolar basalt (lava stone), sandstone, marble, and slate. Two of our factories are mainly focusing on manufacturing products of vacuolar basalt (lava stone), pumice stone and other volcanic stone related products, and the other one is specialized in producing products of slate, imported Burma marble and the other stone products. Now we are not only one of the leading basalt (lava stone) manufacturers in Yunnan, we are also one of the biggest vacuolar basalt (lava stone) quarry owner in Yunnan. Along with the rapid development of the company, SANYOND has expanded to become a well-known stone manufacturer, especially in field of vacuolar basalt (lava stone).
Regarding the vacuolar basalt (lava stone) resource in China, as we know, there are only three main resource regions: Hainan, Northeast (Heilong Jiang, Jilin & Liaoning) and Yunnan. Compared with the former two regions, the exploitation of vacuolar basalt (lava stone) in Yunnan is much later than these two regions. So Yunnan vacuolar basalt (lava stone) is not as known as the two regions. However, Yunnan vacuolar basalt (lava stone) has its own exclusive features, which include but not limit to: 1) color varies widely from grey, dark grey, charcoal black, especially the dark grey and charcoal black colored vacuolar basalt (lava stone) are only founded in Yunnan; 2) the vacuole size and shape differs from which are sourced from Northeast and Hainan, thus the appearance of Yunnan vacuolar basalt (lava stone) is completely different from the other two regions'; 3) the estimated potential reserves are of 4.5 million m3, at an annual production rate of 10000 m3, the quarry life would be of 450 years, which means that vacuolar basalt (lava stone) reserves in Yunnan are unlimited.Generally speaking, the vacuolar basalt (lava stone) resource of Yunnan is quite unique and to be considered by some stone tenders as a new stone product.
With gradual increase, our factories annual output is up to 20,0000M2 now. During the past few years, we have been mainly supplying to domestic market. However, in recent years, our overseas sales are increasing gradually also. We have been exporting to South Korea, Australia, South Africa and some West European countries.
